This week at Sectionals Maryanna Lansing set a new 7th Grade 3000M Grade Record, Cheila Diao Broke the 10th Grade Shot Put Record, and Carlos Mendez broke the 12th Grade Discus Record. Emily Vandenburgh just missed the 11th Grade Long Jump record and Jon Vallecorsa would have earned the 11th grade record in the 3200M except he was about 3 seconds slower than Mike Libruk who broke the grade record a week earlier. Expect to see more records go down this week as the competition heats up at the NYS Qualifier meets as athletes look to earn a spot in the NYS Championships.
