The Inside Track
Sunday March 28, 2010

Sunday March 28, 2010: Coach Stadtlander reviewed the impressive list of individual and team accomplishments over the past season at last Wednesday's Indoor Track Banquet. He recognized the valuable contributions of each of his assistant coaches, Coach Hayes, Coach Daigle and Coach Couture. The theme of the night was the hard work and commitment of everyone who contributed to the team's success. Brendan Dolan ("Outstanding Senior") and Matt Conti ("Team MVP") spoke on behalf of the seniors. Dolan spoke about the importance of hard work, the experience and commitment of all of the coaches, and the future opportunities for the underclassmen. Conti spent his time thanking the many people who supported his efforts and contributed to his success: including all of his relay teammates throughout the season, Brian Hickey for the Shakerrunning website, Maggie Ferrari for her mental conditioning training, and all of the team's coaches for their encouragement, support, and guidance. On behalf of the entire team, Seniors JQ Chandler and Steve Huneau presented each of the coaches with thank you gifts in appreciation of all they have done for the team. New Profile and Interview: Stay tuned for an upcoming profile and interview with recently named "Outstanding Senior" Brendan Dolan.

Watch for a new article that has been written on the recently completed Section 2 Indoor Track Season.

Alumni Update (by Will Schanz): A small amount of the alumni have run so far in the very quick season that is collegiate outdoor track. Matt Bogdan probably had the best season opener as he won his event and ran a PR of 9:11 in the 3000 meter steeple chase. Will Schanz for the first time all year ran a respectable time, running a 16:19 in the 5k. Jeff Corelli tripled in his season opener, running a 4:14 1500, a 2:03 in the 800, and then finished off the day running in the 4x400. Ebube Abara seemed to be the only one who ran for UAlbany in their season opener as he ran in the 4x400 on a team that ran a 3:17.38.
