New York State Championship Meet (11/10/07)

The New York State Cross Country Championship Meet was held on Saturday, November 10 in Norwood, New York near the Canadian border. Three Shaker Varsity Boy runners qualified for the meet based on their performance in the Section 2 State Qualifier on November 2nd. All three had very strong performances with RJ Sniffen finishing 7th (just ahead of Goutos from Saratoga), Craig Weiss finishing 12th, and Chris Manico finishing 17th. No other team in the state had their top three runners finish ahead of Shaker's three runners. All three Shaker runners again finished ahead of Shen's first runner as they had in the Section race a week earlier. The combined Section 2 team dominated the other sections showing that Section 2 is the most competitive and talented Cross Country region in New York. Click here for results.
